Don’t Be Anti-Social
by admin on May 30, 2016 in May 2016
Is your business social or anti-social? If you haven’t claimed your company’s real estate on the various social media avenues, your business is anti-social and you’re missing out on awareness among millions of potential consumers for very little investment.
Facebook is estimated to have 665 million active users daily. Twitter logs about 215 million active users. Google+ comes in at nearly 360 million active users. Pinterest has 10 million U.S. users. On Instagram, you’ll reach between 130-150 million users, while LinkedIn hits some 230 million users. YouTube comes in at a billion unique visitors a month and Foursquare has 40 million users.
Ninety-one percent of adults online regularly use social media and nearly 50 percent of businesses, some of which are likely your competitors, are active in some form of mobile marketing. They are benefiting from the recommendations made among social media users who freely share reviews of their experience with a company. Many consumers admit that they are more likely to give a business or product a try based on social media recommendations from friends.
With some planning, you can reach out to new consumers and manage your relationships with current customers. Developing a plan for your social interactions will keep social media marketing from overtaking your time and sidetracking you from your daily business activities.
You don’t have to jump in with both feet right away. It is better to select one or two channels that fit your business goals and do them well than to jump into all channels and do them poorly.
