This October one of the most luxurious automotive experiences is cruising into the entertainment capital of the world for its inaugural year the Las Vegas Concours dElegance. The highly-anticipated, luxury automotive experience will be presented from Friday, Oct. 25 through Monday, Oct. 28 and will feature four consecutive days of captivating, lavish events, honoring remarkable cars of the past, present and some of the most daring automobile concepts of the future. The event will feature a curated collection of approximately 200 vehicles and will include an opening night gala, a Tour d’Elegance down the iconic Las Vegas Strip and a celebrity golf tournament. This year’s feature Marque car, from the Class Dream Cars of 1930’s will be the alluring Phantom Corsair. Created in 1938, this dream car was regarded as ahead of its time and has been turning heads ever since with its spaceship-like body. More info

United Way Grills ‘n’ Grilles Fundraiser

Individuals from around the community will fire up their grills during the 13th annual United Way of Nevada County BBQ and Car Show event “Grills ‘n’ Grilles”. Local BBQ teams will compete in the Backyard BBQ and Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) teams from all over Northern California will also compete for prizes. The public can taste and vote for their favorite Backyard BBQ team, and sample the KCBS grilled meats as well. There will also be a Car Show, where people from all over the area showcase their beautiful cars, of every make, model and year. Come out and enjoy some great food while listening to music in the beautiful Western Gateway Park. There will be vendors, wine and beer, a memorial disc golf tournament, raffles and a children’s area. The proceeds go to United Way of Nevada County’s Community Impact Fund.
