The Petersen Museum’s Global Cars & Coffee
Are you “chomping at the bit” to get out of the house and lose yourself in an adventurous LA car show this summer? The Petersen Museum has hosted a free cars and coffee event for enthusiasts like you for the community to come together, drink coffee, talk cars – and, if you are lucky – win an award. Staff of the Petersen are not letting the COVID-19 pandemic bar them from being creative.
The first Global Cars & Coffee aired live on the Petersen YouTube channel back on April 26, 2020 and featured more than 150 vehicles from enthusiasts from the United States, Australia, England, Canada, Germany, France, and South America. You can watch that first Cars & Coffee here. The Petersen will be offering this Virtual Car Show for the foreseeable future on its YouTube channel one Sunday each month.
You may be asking, “How does the car show work?” The Petersen has opened up the Cars & Coffee event to everyone globally for free. Participants will submit a video of their cars to the link on the Petersen webpage. The Petersen staff will then compile all of the videos into a compilation over the next two weeks and premiere the compilation live on YouTube. Throughout the car show, The Petersen will open a poll for viewers to vote on the “People’s Choice Award,” which is given to entries with the most votes throughout the show.
