5 Tips To Take With You To The Classic Auto Show

Classic cars may be out of sight, but they most certainly are not out of mind! Typically, when you think of 100 year-old cars, the adjectives “old”, “rusty” and “retired” will come to mind. However, Autogeek has found some of the most rare and unusually pristine classic cars around, and will showcase them at their Classic Auto Show, hosted at the Los Angeles Convention center!

If you’re a car enthusiast like us, you’ll want to mark your calendars and see it for yourself. Between January 27th- 29th, you can experience the best of the classic and vintage motoring scene, while journeying through the historic ages of the automotive timeline.

With the event so quickly approaching, we thought we’d share some tips on how you can get the most out of any auto show experience!

1. Buy Your Tickets Online

Nothing’s worse than showing up at the doors, only to be disappointed when tickets are sold out! As fun as a spontaneous change of plans can be, we’d recommend that you and your friends get ahead of the game by purchasing your tickets online!

2. Ask Lots of Questions!

Take advantage of this opportunity to learn as much as you want about each car that piques your interest. Staff at auto shows are typically more informed than sales representatives at dealerships. Not only that, but the people you see there, are product specialists. They are there to educate people – not sell cars – so you can ask as many questions as you want, without feeling pressured to buy.

3. Plan Ahead

It’s easy to spend all your time in one place when you’re overwhelmed by the excitement, but keep in mind that you have a lot of ground to cover! As auto show experts, we’d recommend that you check out the map of the convention center before wandering inside! Know what you can’t leave without seeing (and where it’s located) to avoid missing out on what could possibly be your favorite part of the show. This way, you’ll find your day to be a lot more productive and you’ll likely be able to see more things: it’s a win-win!

4. Take your Time

As mentioned before, auto show exhibits are massive! Every auto show is unique in it’s own way, and there’s no way that the experience can ever be completely replicated. So, while you’ll likely be eager to jump from station to station, keep in mind that these auto shows don’t always happen! Remember to take a deep breath, and enjoy what’s in front of you. Like we said earlier, plan ahead, allocate your time wisely, and you won’t be sorry!

5. Book ahead of time

After a long day of walking around, you likely won’t have the energy to drive an hour or two back home. We’d recommend all attendees and exhibitors to check out alternative transportation options before heading to the show. If public transportation doesn’t float your boat, consider booking a hotel for the night! Discounted room rates have been negotiated exclusively for this show’s attendees and exhibitors! Check out the rates here.

We can’t wait to hear about your experience at The Classic Auto Show and how these tips helped you! For more information on how we can help you with your favorite car, contact a Martin Auto Color location nearest you.
