Holiday Cheer: The Gift of Giving!

The holiday season is a time of giving, so we at Martin Auto Color have chosen a few organizations throughout the Northern and Southern California, as well as Nevada that could use your support this holiday season!

ADOPT A FAMILY

This program assists low-income families part of The Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) by providing new gifts such as toys, clothes and food to help celebrate the holidays properly. It is only through the generosity and contributions of individuals, groups, and organizations that the Adopt-A-Family Program can make a difference for needy families and children during this time.

The DPSS serves an ethnically and culturally diverse community through programs designed to both alleviate hardship and promote health, personal responsibility and economic independence.

If you can assist with your support for this great cause, please contact Anthony Leoni at 213-744-4590. If you know someone in need of special support services please visit us online or by email.

MEGANS WINGS

This incredible charity pays bills and adopts families of critically ill children with cancer. Founded in 2005 and run by 2 mom’s who’ve both lost children to cancer, Megan’s Wings is passionate about paying it forward to help others going through similar circumstances.

Adopted families will be picking up their care packages at a holiday gingerbread luncheon that includes holiday crafts and a special visit from Santa. This year, the SoCal community will have the opportunity to help prepare the craft items for the holiday luncheon at the hands-on workshop. The community can also donate gas, grocery and clothing gift cards for the families. If you or business would be interested in adopting a family this year, please contact Kim for a donor application.

CARSON CITY HOLIDAY WITH A HERO 2016:

A collaboration of agencies and organizations officially kicked off the 2016 Holiday with a Hero campaign in October with a goal of giving at least 200 homeless children in Carson City a Christmas experience by providing them with gift cards to spend on themselves prior to the holiday.

Entering its 12th year, the holiday giving program is designed around the generosity of Carson City citizens, businesses and their donations that directly benefit local school. For more information on how you can help, visit this site.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SHRINERS: MAKE WISHES COME TRUE

You can help spread holiday cheer this season at Shriners Hospital for Children — Northern California. Each year, as the holiday season draws near, they are grateful to receive phone calls and emails from people who want to donate toys and other gifts-in-kind to their patients. For more information on how you can help, visit their website, or, if you know of a family in need you can contact patient referrals.

We at Martin Auto Color not only want to thank for being great members of our community, but for giving back to those in our community who are in need. All of us wish you the best this holiday season.

Contact a Martin Auto Color location near you for assistance on any of your automotive refinishing needs.
